Hi, my name is Sophia Constantinescu, an Environmental Science student specializing in Ecology at the University of Waterloo, Ontario. I am currently a part of the 8-week Summer Program, where I serve as the AI Analyst for Clean Agriculture and Climate Innovation. I support the use and implementation of AI software and physical AI tools for research and field operations surrounding agriculture. In my role, I have tested the use of AI for mapping soil erosion in smallholder farmers fields, and the use of AI to analyze wastewater samples from Lake Ontario. I am particularly interested in the implementation of physical AI tools to help Canadian farmers, and I am interested in microplastics and plastic alternatives.
