President’s Message

President Azizur RahmanMessage from the President

This past year has been one of disruption, adaptability, and resilience. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our personal and professional lives, the way we do business, education, and research. Scientific discovery has been pushed to the forefront of our society as we are trying to return to a semblance of normalcy.

The Center for Climate Change Research has remained dedicated to combatting climate change through research and the development of innovative biotechnologies. However, in these unprecedented times, the way we conduct and disseminate research has had to change to not only protect our team but to adhere to both domestic and international health standards. We have taken our international partnerships, team meetings, and research development to an online platform and have used these past few months to develop project plans that can be implemented once it is safe to do so in a laboratory setting.

While the world has changed, the pursuit to protect and sustain our environment has not changed at CCCR. Despite the unprecedented challenges caused by COVID-19, we are aspiring to remain motivated and passionate about embracing new techniques and a platform of innovation to deliver on climate change. Our pursuit to protect and sustain our environment requires both local and international partnerships. Join us as we strive to create a platform of change.
