Requirements & Experience:
- Post-Secondary degree or recent graduate in related subject fields; Geography,
Environmental Studies, Biology, Chemistry, or other related majors. - Strong background in geospatial and remote sensing data analysis (RSAS)
- Experience working with various levels of remote sensing data (RSAS)
- Experience in working with GIS (for GIS technologist)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret data, graphical representations and symbols while having an eye for layout and design, good spatial awareness and colour vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist PI and other lab researchers to conduct project research as per the project goals such as practical implementation in a site in rural/urban Ontario, demonstrating efficacy in reducing GHG emissions, chemical pollution, and increasing soil quality.
- Develop new technologies to reduce GHG through urban organic agriculture. Raising awareness and encouraging communities to reduce GHG emissions while growing healthy organic agri-foods.
- Develop new technologies to reduce food waste that could prevent the emission of methane from landfills (anaerobic composting).
- Work with External Research Professionals.
- Prepare figures and diagrams for presentation and publication.
- Present findings at lab meetings, respond to challenges and participate in the exchange of ideas to advance the science.
- Communicate results and collaborate with other professionals in the lab.
- Demonstrate a significant level of intellectual input into the design of the project.
- Read and understand relevant scientific literature.
- Contribute to the preparation of articles on research outcomes and progress and the submission of the same for publication.
- Participate in the editing and proofing of grant proposals, annual grant reports, and manuscripts for publication and recommend modification to the Principal Investigator.

Location: Remote work. If required, need to come to the office/field for completing the assigned work.

Requirements & Experience:
- Must know how to use the following social media platforms: YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn
- Must be comfortable in front of camera
- Read news weekly in the CCCR channel
- Proficient in Video Editing
- Excellent Verbal and Speaking skills
- Ability to deliver creative content
- Excellent Writing skills
- Recommended background or passion in environmental studies and climate change research
Key Responsibilities:
- Create weekly news reports, read news related to climate change and other environmental issues
- This includes research, script, filming and editing
- Create posts for various social media accounts
- Read and understand relevant scientific literature.
- Work with External Research Professionals.
- Prepare figures and diagrams for presentation and publication.
- Present findings at lab meetings, respond to challenges and participate in the exchange of ideas to advance the science.
- Communicate results and collaborate with other professionals in the lab.
- Demonstrate a significant level of intellectual input into the design of the project
- Write blogs or press releases about environmental projects
- Manage content delivery
